Become a Golden Lynx

To become a member of the Chancellor's Golden Lynx, you must meet and fulfill the preferred guidelines and requirements. Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are currently being accepted! 

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Must have completed at least one (1) full semester at UC Merced
  • Must maintain and be in good academic standing
  • Must attend monthly mandatory meetings & participate in a mandatory on-boarding orientation
  • Must dedicate 12 hours (minimum) per semester assisting with events and other on- and off-campus activities

Selection Process

To be selected as the Chancellor's Golden Lynx, ALL of the following must be compeleted:

  • Submit a completed application and resume
  • A 300-word (max) response on what it means to be a UC Merced Bobcat

Finalists will be invited for in-person interviews.
